The concept for Fred Again‘s new album is simple: “My new record is called ten days,” Fred said in a statement. “It’s ten songs about ten days.” Those 10 songs, due out Sept. 6, feature collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Four Tet, Skrillex, Emmylou Harris, among others. Three tracks from the album, “adore u” (featuring Obongjayar), “ten” (featuring Jozzy and Jim Legxacy), and “places to be” (featuring Anderson .Paak and Chika) that have come out over the past year are available to stream now.
As simple as it is, though, Fred explained the ten days concept further on Instagram: “There’s been a lot of biggg, mad, crazy moments in the last year but basically all of these are about really very small quiet intimate moments,” he wrote. “Some of them are, like, the most intensely joyful things I have felt, and some of them are the other side of things. And some days I don’t want to speak about loads ‘cos I’m not the only person it was an important day for if that makes sense.”
