# The Rapparees
From humble beginnings nearly 15 years ago, **The Rapparees** struck gold when they were invited to support their heroes, *The Pogues*, on tour.
Inspired by that experience and driven by a shared love of Irish folk, punk and storytelling, the band have spent over a decade building a reputation as one of Ireland’s most electrifying live acts. Since 2014, their acclaimed tribute to **Shane MacGowan & The Pogues** has packed venues across Belfast, Dublin and the UK, with more than **30 sold-out shows** and a loyal following that continues to grow year after year.
